Dr Ian Corban is an associate fellow of the British Psychological Society and registered with the Health & Care Professions Council.  He has worked with a wide range of children with a variety of needs.  Ian has experience of working in nurseries, mainstream schools, alternative provision, NHS local authorities and the prison service.  He is also a qualified therapist and member of the BACP.
A Dyslexia assessment takes place at the young person’s house.  On the day of the assessment Ian arrives at 9am to initially talk with parents about their concerns.  He then talks with the young person before carrying out a full assessment of need.  Ian then leaves to process the assessment.  It usually takes about 3 to 4 hours to produce the report.  The report includes all of the results of the assessment, an explanation of what the results mean and a number of recommendations for supporting the young person further, both at home and school.   The report is then emailed to you and Ian is available to talk you through the report over the phone or return to do this in person.
